I welcome your participation and perspectives, because this is a community discussion. To facilitate that – and create a safe, respectful and thought-provoking forum for all – here are some guidelines to help you take part:
1. Relate with respect. You don’t have to agree, but please be respectful or your comment may be removed from the blog.
2. Keep to the topic being discussed.
3. Listen, and seek to understand. The writer values their beliefs and practices as deeply as we do our own, however different these may be.
3. Share your own experiences, and write only about your own tradition or perspective rather than talk about what you think others believe or practice.
4. Focus on inquiry and reflection. Be willing to let go of your stereotypes, assumptions and judgements.
5. Using this blog to convert or proselytise is unacceptable, and may result in your posting being removed.
6. Consider your response with care and intention, to prevent rude reaction or venting.
7. Every religious/spiritual tradition has its “problem issues and people.” Don’t just focus on these, or compare the best in yours with the worst in someone else’s.
8. Please feel free to address issues of disagreement. Dialogue is not furthered when painful or difficult issues are glossed over. However, do so with respect while also seeking for common ground in what others write.
9. If you have suggestions or new issues you want to raise, please email the ME. We value your active participation and contribution!
